Jiminy Cricket, Meet Bug! No creepy crawlies here…this 3-year old lovebug is charmingly adorable and ready for a nest in his forever home. Bug came to us from local animal control after being found as a stray. This baby locust of a pittie was incredibly thin when we met him – it’s obvious someone wasn’t taking very good care of him. But sweet Bug lives in the moment and has never looked back. He has already gained 7 much-needed pounds and will likely be 60+ pounds when his metamorphosis is complete.

Bug is a joyful and affectionate goofball and has the best E.T.-inspired eyes! You’ll likely find him buzzing about – he is extremely friendly and social and loves, loves, loves every living being he encounters (including cats and dogs)! He is a VGB (very good bug)…a man who loves to love and be loved, and proudly shows his love at all times. This sweet kissing bug rubs his lips on you to show affection (not kidding). Bug is gentle and affectionate with his people, clearly has a huge heart, and is just a happy-go-lucky, go-with-the-flow kind of man. And like the littlest cricket, makes a hilarious chirping noise when he wants something (food, a toy, affection).

This playful man loves to walk and explore and gets sooooo excited around people. In fact, he is so overjoyed to be close to kind humans that he takes some time to settle, but when he does will gladly snuggle in like a delightful bed bug. Bug is polite and quiet in the car, but not thrilled. A car could be brand new to him. Though estimated at 3 years old, Bug has big puppy vibes, from his gawky legs and feet to his chronic case of the wiggles. Seriously, wiggles galore – he is a true wiggle bug! And like a captivating lightning bug, he wants to crawl into your heart and light up your life! There might be 5.5 million insect species in existence, but none as loving (or adorable) as our Bug. Due to his age, exuberance for food, and lack of history, older kids would be best for this sweet and soft Bugaboo.

Bug’s top 3 priorities:

1. A family who wants a freaking amazing dog and can’t wait to make him a BIG part of their lives.
2. A family who loves to be close (non-snugglers need not apply!).
3. A family who will show Bug what it’s like to be a cherished family member for all of his days.
