Meet Piglet! This 3-year old fawn merle piggly wiggly came to us from local animal control after being picked up from a home with multiple dogs and never reclaimed. And that wasn’t his first stop at animal control, having been there years prior as an underweight and urine-stained pup. But onwards and upwards!
Piglet is an American Bully mix with frosted oceanic eyes that will stop you in your tracks. They’re really like adorable mis-matched blueberries and he only has vision from one of those baby blues, but that absolutely doesn’t slow him down. Piglet is momentarily exuberant, snuggly, lovable, and cautious…all rolled into one 42-lb pint-sized package. He radiates love and tenderness for miles and miles and shows time and time again that he is an amateur professional at all types of snuggling and nuzzling. Seriously…this baby pig has the sweetness of the first bite of fruit striped gum and isn’t afraid to show it.
Pigaroo high-step prances like a show pony with his petite hooves and spends most of his free time looking for stray cat treats. Sure, he would gladly go for a walk but is content to snuggle up and watch Ted Lasso just the same. As long as he’s close! Since we know he has been underweight in his past, it comes as no surprise that Piggy is a foodie at heart and has been known to counter surf on occasion. He takes treats gently and will gladly work for a morsel.
Piggy Pie is an excellent co-pilot but prefers shorter rides in the car. His coat is the perfect mix of crème brûlée and rainbow sprinkles. And his perfectly asymmetrical bubble-gum snout is extra boop-able. Though Piglet is living in a foster home with a cat, he tends to chase when surprised. Because of this, we strongly feel he says “no thanks” to kitty friends. Because of his sight limitations and lack of history, older or no kids would be best for this swoonworthy swine, who is anxiously looking for LOVE and can’t wait to start his forever. Piglet may be small in size, but he has the biggest heart!
Piglet’s top 3 priorities: 1. Piggy is a professional snuggler so being allowed to snuggle with his person on the furniture and in bed is priority #1. 2. Piglet needs someone who will be sensitive to his potential vision impairment, both socially and medically. He currently needs daily eye drops in one eye and would need a quick visit to monitor the pressure in his eye annually. And with limited vision, bringing him to a beer garden or dog park is definitely not on his bucket list. 3. Piggy is so smart and trusting! He would benefit greatly from working with his person through training classes. Not because he has behavioral needs (he is SUCH a good boy!), but because he needs to gain a little bit of confidence.

The cost only rises if a deserving dog needs any additional vetting, and even simple appointments add up fast. While our adoption fees are intentionally lower to find great homes more quickly, we will gladly and graciously take additional donations to help offset these fees!
