Meet Squish! This surprisingly sweet silverback came to us after being found on the streets in Massachusetts, still lactating, on one of the hottest days of the year. We suspect she was used for breeding and dumped after usefulness expired and her puppies were sold. While we hate that she was made to endure any type of suffering at the hands of greedy and morally reprehensible humans, we bet she made a pretty good mama because she is amazing!
Squish is a short stop, with the squishiest head (and thighs!). She is technically teeny tiny at only 35 lbs, including a bit of baby weight. But truth be told, she is stacked but small, brawny but baby-like, and seriously strapping on a small-scale. We love that she is little and big, all at the same time! Squish has tested well with dogs and some cats and is currently living with 2 young kiddos, whom she adores! She loves, loves, loves every human she meets. In fact, she will love you more than banana cream pie if given the chance.
Squish is sweet, goofy, outgoing, and loves cheese (uhhh, who doesn’t?!) and toys…the squeakier, the better. She is house- and crate-trained and loves car rides. Even in the summer heat, she avoids the kiddie pool, so we’re guessing she isn’t a fan of water. Sugar melts, you know?! There is still a bit of puppy left in her – she may chew your shoes or throw pillows but is eager to learn and to please! And Squish is a charmer! Sometimes her tooth gets caught on her lip, so she is practicing and perfecting her “derp face” every day. She is also a woman who knows what she wants! She can be very vocal, talking up a storm, if she is being ignored! We can’t wait to see this deserving soul go from the street life to the sweet life with a family who will cherish and value her forever!
Squish’s top 3 priorities: 1. A loving family who gives her the time and patience she deserves. 2. A family with a yard to run around (bonus if fenced!). Those short and stubby legs know how to move! 3. A family dedicated to lots of snuggle time to make Squish forget every injustice she ever suffered at the hands of humans!

The cost only rises if a deserving dog needs any additional vetting, and even simple appointments add up fast. While our adoption fees are intentionally lower to find great homes more quickly, we will gladly and graciously take additional donations to help offset these fees!
