Gus

Meet Gus! This 10-years young XL marshmallow creme puff came to us from local animal control after being found as a stray and he is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. Gus Gus is a lab/pittie mix who is a spectacular combination of elegance and goofiness, maturity and playfulness – time-honored and lighthearted in all that he does. He is a confident man who knows what he wants and isn’t afraid to show it! His hobbies include cramming his XL frame into tiny cat beds, trying to eat flies that buzz a little too close, and suckling his blanket while he dozes off. Gussy Pants is a lover who, most of all, enjoys being close to his people. He is always down to take a leisurely stroll or go for a car ride, but his favorite is just lounging in whatever room you’re in (a bonus if a Kong or nylabone is involved!).

Gus is a gentle senior with the softest tail wag we’ve seen. And he has the cutest smile of contentment when he sleeps! We think he’s dreaming of better days ahead. He makes sure his special blankie is always close by, even if it means dragging it up a flight of stairs, tripping himself the entire time. This dog- and cat-friendly big boy hasn’t met a treat he doesn’t like and even nibbles on cucumbers and red peppers with glee in an attempt to drop a pound or two.

Gus is in his golden years and we strongly believe that senior pitizens are the best! Gus is 100% house trained, sleeps through the night, chews only his toys, behaves like a gem, and has limited demands. He just needs someone that will take a chance on him and give him a warm and comfortable home to call his own for all of his days. Due to his age, and the aches and pains of being an aging adult, older or no kids would be best for this special and distinguished soul.

Gus’s top 3 priorities:
1. A family with kind hands and open hearts who will make this sweet and deserving senior man feel nothing but love for all of his days.
2. A family who understands that a seasoned soul like Gus might be a vintage edition, but still has soooo much love to give.
3. A family who is looking for a real family member – to share experiences and the bed/couch and isn’t afraid of snuggling.
