Tator Tot

Tator Tot

Meet Tater Tot! This 5-year old bulldog mix came to us from local animal control after his owner could no longer care for him and he is spud-tacular! Tater is just a happy, inquisitive, friendly, and goofy guy who would fit well into so many families! He is happy to goof around and maybe do a few short walks, but this hash brown is definitely more of a couch potato. He is obviously a Chunk-O-Saurus and is GORGEOUS (perhaps the Channing Potatum of bullies?!).

Tater is an excellent co-pilot in the car, walks well on leash (but can pull to get to a canine friend), is totally housebroken, and has been super easy to care for. Our sweet Skater Tater has verrrrrry short bursts of “speed” (we use that term liberally), followed by lazing around. He is dog-friendly and was reported to live with kids (cats unknown). Our resident Mr. Potato Head tap dances for food or affection, and with his large frame, reminds us of a bully-inspired Riverdance. And our Tater Gator does have a stubborn streak in true bulldog fashion. He will make dinosaur noises if he doesn’t want to do something. Wait – he will make gremlin snorts throughout the day and can snore like a lumberjack, too. So, he can make a LOT of noises. When he’s happy, this baked potato will do a series of 3-second micro-burst zoomies…then…time for a rest. We are in LOVE! Due to his size, and lack of history, older or no kids would be best for this handsome hot potato.

Tater Tot’s Top 3 Priorities:
1. A family who will give him all the love and snuggles! Snuggling in bed and cuddling on the couch for binge-watching is a must!
2. A family who is…a family in any capacity. This bully was reported to live with kids and is dog friendly but would also be happy to soak up all the attention.
3. A family who doesn’t mind a bed hog!

Note: We spend well over $500 on the average intact adult dog coming into our rescue, which covers all standard vetting including spay/neuter, equipment, food, and preventative care while with us. The cost only rises if a deserving dog needs any additional vetting, and even simple appointments add up fast. While our adoption fees are intentionally lower to find great homes more quickly, we will gladly and graciously take additional donations to help offset these fees!
