Meet Turtle! This 1-year old brindle and beautiful French Bulldog came to us from local animal control after being found as a stray. You know rescue is a total dumpster fire when there are young, healthy Frenchies roaming the streets as strays in Massachusetts.
Turtle is a bat-eared beauty and is French Bulldog to the core…with his pint-sized 26 lb body, wrinkled face, and big bug eyes. Like an actual turtle, this tiny treasure awkwardly has no neck and is slow moving. Does he have ageless wisdom and maturity? Ummm, nope. But he is super adorable with his Cinnabon tail and baby-like features and loves to be part of the (lazy) action. This compact gentleman is a charmer! He’s affectionate, social, and loves exploring at a leisurely pace. His hobbies include hours of play bowing to a cat who ignores him and sniffing to his heart’s content.
Turtle can be a bit shy and would love a meaningful connection with his humans to bring him out of his shell. He snorts when excited in a completely irresistible manner and is looking to capture the hearts of a forever family. Turtle is currently living in a foster home with dogs and cats and doing great. Because of lack of history, older or no kids would be best for sweet Turtle.
Turtle’s top 3 priorities: 1. A loving family with gentle hands and kind hearts who will let Turtle settle in at his own pace. 2. A family who has Frenchie experience and loves all the quirks associated with their obvious cuteness. 3. A family who is aware of the potential medical costs associated with bulldogs of any type and is willing to care for Turtle for all of his days. Pet insurance is highly recommended.

Note: We spend well over $500 on the average intact adult dog coming into our rescue, which covers all standard vetting including spay/neuter, equipment, food, and preventative care while with us. The cost only rises if a deserving dog needs any additional vetting, and even simple appointments add up fast. While our adoption fees are intentionally lower to find great homes more quickly, we will gladly and graciously take additional donations to help offset these fees!
