Meet Johnny Cash! This 5-year old Rock and Roll Hall of Famer came to us from local animal control after his owner could no longer care for him. Cashy Baby wasn’t a huge fan of the clink and was grateful to make it out to start his forever as soon as humanly possible. And we were lucky enough to stumble upon him unexpectedly and realize our lives wouldn’t be complete without taking him into rescue immediately.

Johnny isn’t much of a rockabilly outlaw…but he is a L.O.V.E.R.!!!!! Uh, did you count the explanation marks?! It still isn’t enough. Did you see his heart-shaped nose?! Enough said (and then some)! Love is a burning thing. And it makes a fiery ring. Our Johnny’s heart is a literal Ring of Fire for people, dogs, and cats. He loves to love and it is obvious! He has a deep soul, an endearing spirit, and a resilience that is commendable. He loves to be with his people, and his social connections bring him an overriding feeling of peace and calm, and if we’re honest, propel him towards inner peace in a palpable way. Johnny patiently waits for his person to let him under the covers at night and tucks into a little ball as the BEST little spoon on the planet! He is uber housetrained! Come on, a legend can’t be caught having an accident inside, you know.

Johnny Cash will Walk the Line…directly into your heart. And then he will curl up and set up camp there for eternity. This mature man is no wanderer. All he wants is to be with his family and he will bring SO much undying love and affection in return. And it burns, burns, burns. The ring of fire.
