Whoa, Doc! Meet Marty McFly! This 11-month old merle Frenchie puppy came Back to the Future after a good Samaritan stepped up to save him from a life of local backyard breeding. And what a lucky man he was to have met her, considering she instantly set him on a path to recovery. Marty had never seen a vet and needed the works, in addition to BOAS surgery to improve his breathing. Mr. McFly is neutered and vaccinated and is patiently waiting for his soft palate surgery to ensure he can breathe with ease while we work to fatten him up a bit. But we know he would love to recover in his forever home.
Marty has traditional leading man qualities. He is (obviously) HANDSOME! With his perfect bat ears, cute button nose, nubbin tail, stunning merle coat, and sliver of blue in just one eye, this man is adorable and has stolen the hearts of everyone he has met. Even though a puppy, this youngster is actually an old soul, and his affectionate demeanor will certainly alter history! He LOVES to be close and is even known to jump in the shower with his person just to make sure he is part of the action. Marty doesn’t need an Enchantment Under the Sea Dance. He will entertain himself for hours by flinging his toys around and being a clown – and he gives his best performances with an audience of his people admiring his every move. He has an easy-going and friendly personality. Snuggles? Yes, please. Long hikes? No thanks. He is super snuggly – Velcro is an understatement! Yet settles quickly to nap when alone.
Sweet young Marty doesn’t dream of becoming a rock star, can’t drive a DeLorean, and isn’t very proficient on a hoverboard…he just wants a family all his own to love him through thick and thin. Let our Marty travel through time to steal your heart. After all, sometimes lightning strikes in the form of Frenchie kisses. Because of his lack of history, older kids would be best for this pint-sized star. No Biff’s allowed!
Adopters will need to understand the breed and what owning a French Bulldog entails. The extreme features that make Marty ridiculously handsome require some extra attention. Adorable wrinkles require some additional cleaning and care. And that squishy face can mean breathing difficulty with exercise or quickly overheating in the sun. The good news is that Marty will receive soft palate surgery to improve breathing and reduce respiratory distress before his adoption becomes final!
Puppies are soooooo cute, and puppy breath is THE BEST! But puppies are a lot of work and take dedication, patience, love, training, and real commitment to turn them into amazing adults. A friendly reminder that our adoption requirements, including enrollment in an approved puppy training class, are posted on our website at: cropsandflopsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-policies/
Marty McFly’s top 3 priorities: 1. A family who really wants a cuddle puddle in their lap and will allow a pup onto the furniture and in bed to be close. And one who isn’t afraid of constantly being upstaged by their dog – this man is gorgeous! 2. A family who will patiently work on house training. Marty was kept in a crate before his time with us and is still getting the hang of house training. But he is making huge strides and just needs someone committed to continuing the consistency of his training. 3. A family who is aware of the potential medical costs associated with bulldogs of any type and is willing to care for Marty for all of his days. Pet insurance is highly recommended.

Note: We spend well over $500 on the average intact adult dog coming into our rescue, which covers all standard vetting including spay/neuter, equipment, food, and preventative care while with us. The cost only rises if a deserving dog needs any additional vetting, and even simple appointments add up fast. While our adoption fees are intentionally lower to find great homes more quickly, we will gladly and graciously take additional donations to help offset these fees!
